Gratitude has been instrumental in many different aspects of my life. Getting through mental health issues like depression has been possible thanks to feelings related to gratitude. A while ago, I began to consciously look for things (regardless of size) to be grateful for in order to shift my focus from negative to positive. Depression still has its way of showing its face every now and then, but the difference lies in my bounce back rate. Rather thank staying in a “funk”, gratitude allows me to focus on aspects of my life that contribute to my creativity and overall well-being. Having an “Attitude of Gratitude” is essential in order to feel peace regarding difficult and painful circumstances. There’s always something to be grateful for as long as we’re willing to look.
