Today”s Words of Wisdom Wednesday is about encouraging people to seek lessons instead of pity. Being born into painful circumstances does not have to dictate the path your journey will take. However, what you choose to do with these moments is what makes all of the difference. Will you be steadfast in your pursuit of happiness? Or will you allow obstacles to derail your path?
Ultimately, in the end, you are the author of your story. How your life begins does not dictate how things will end. Each phase of life demands that we show up, but the manner in which we choose to do so is a decision we consistently make.
During this podcast episode, two famous athletes are used as an example to demonstrate that despite data initially suggesting they were “failures,” they did not allow others’ perceptions and previous experiences to prevent them from achieving who they believed they were. As authors of their story, they wrote the finale as one that would never be forgotten.
Whether it’s the end of a relationship or the end of a profession, it doesn’t imply that it has to be the end of our life. We can search and extract lessons that’ll allow us to evolve into a better version of ourselves. Or, we can search for negative validation that’ll only serve to keep us “down.” What we do with endings is how new beginnings will arise. Regardless of what you’re going through, you are the author of your story.
